Annabelle's Trunk

Hey, I'm Kinley. I'm 15, and a sophmore in high school. Here's my story:
Before I was born, my parents moved from Alabama to Cape Cod, Mass. It had been my mothers dream to move there as soon as she finished college and was ready to settle down.
After my parents got married, they moved to a beautiful old 2-story farmhouse in Cod. Where our house was located, it was almost on a swampy area. The beach was only 10 minutes away, but when you looked outside the window, there was a swampy creek-like very large patch of water.
When I was about 8, I remember a local girl went missing, her name was Annabelle Rains. It was all over the local news, she was only 10 years old. She didn't go to my elementary school, however, she lived in a town about 15 minutes away. After about a month of searching nearly everywhere, she was presumed dead of a murder.
My parents were very weary, especially when my little sister, Sadie, arrived. They would lock the doors every night, and make sure all of the downstairs windows were closed and locked. Behind the swampy area, was a cabin barely noticeable because of all of the trees hiding it. My parents knew about the cabin, and how it had been abandoned for years.
I remember, the cops showing up at our house one day, a few weeks after Annabelle went missing. They told my parents how some people had suspected that the cabin had something to do with Annabelle. They searched the cabin, finding nothing. The police also wanted to search the swamp.
At first, my parents weren't so sure about the idea, but after thinking it through, they realized it was the best they could do for the Rains' family, and for Annabelle. They searched it, finding a trunk almost half-way buried under the mud in the bottom of the swamp. It contained Annabelle's body and a note, reading: "On August 21, 2005 [1 year after Annabelle was missing] I'm coming for the little white farmhouse whose swamp buried my secrets, and my history".
Of course, we moved. We haven't been back to the house, or the town since. I'm glad that they were able to put an end to Anna's case, and prevent another one from happening, especially since the next victim would have been either me, or my little sister. Visitor Rating:
