Arizona Posted by Misse Date Posted: 03/01/2008
Have you ever thought about what life is like on the other side? That question, will forever remain a mystery. My auntie, Keya, says she knows what it actually is like on the other side. Once
she actually confirmed that her story was true by showing me, and so this is how I'm going to pass on her story to everyone...
It was the year 1993, a year after I was born. My auntie was stuck in Arizona, on some native American reservation. Her car had stalled, so she walked a couple of miles down the road, hoping to find a house. My auntie Keya is the wife of my uncle Thomas, a medicine man. (if you don't know what a medicine man is, look it up) Well, anyways, she has always seen supernatural things, a gift that she's used to experiencing everyday. Spirits, evil spirits, and even unborn babies, during ceremonies.
Well, she saw this foggy site of fire, about half a mile away. She walked closer, and saw a house, that was brown and dead looking, so she thought no one was there. But, she heard voices, so she went to check it out. She came upon a few children, running around in the front yard. She asked them where their parents were, and they said they were in a sweat, and they should be coming out soon.
She knew about sweats, and she knew how disrespectful it is to disturb people when they're praying, so she waited. Finally, about 4 hours later, she grew tired, and decided to see what they were praying about. She went into the sweat lounge, and was surprised at what she saw. There were women in the middle, all bloody and scarred up. There were children, the same children that she had seen in the yard. and under the women, were the men's corpses. They had carvings, all over their bodies, that she has never seen before. She cried out in horror and pain, at what she saw.
The children looked upon her, and two of the older girls smiled. The same child she talked to earlier, a little boy, looked at her in sadness. Then he whispered, " I told you they were sweating" then the older girls started talking in their native language, and they looked upon her. As soon as she walked out, she felt a sharp pain in her side, and when she looked there was a knife, dripping with her blood. She cried out, and fell over.
Soon after, she awoke to seeing the children, but she was sure they didn't see her. Then, she understood what had happened. The children murdered their parents during a sweat, and were doomed to repeat the same thing over and over
again. Auntie Keya said she fell asleep, and awoke in front of a truck, with uncle Thomas sitting in the back of the truck.
He said that he dreamt that she was stuck, and so he came to her immediately. She told him what she had seen, and soon afterward she was rushed to the hospital. Now where she was stabbed left a scar. It's a native American scar, written in another tribe's language, which said "Death upon lives" I know this because I saw it, and when I told her I didn't believe her, she actually took me to Arizona, and showed me that same house, with the sweat lounge on the side. And when we went inside, there was old blood stains on the wall. I freaked, and complained that I wanted to leave. And as we drove away, I could've sworn I heard children's laughter.
Later, I looked up the story on the place, and I guess there's an old myth about a tribe that was having a sweat in the 1930's. The children must've became obsessed, and killed their own parents.
I never went back to Arizona, after that. Visitor Rating:
