It was a cool summers day late noon.The streets seemed almost bare without any other living being in sight.Cadime shivered as a slight breeze billowed past making her dig her hands deeper within her coat pockets.She had been out shoping for a birthday gift for her best friend Grisel and hadn't come across any good items.The strange thing about Grisel was that she wasn't into all the glamor and makeup in moderntimes....instead she liked collecting old figurings and dolls.She was just giving up as she rounded the corner and came to an old errie shop.Cadime gazed inside the windows and had to squint in order to see past all the dust and from what she could tell this shop hadn't been open in decades.Slowly she bagan to turn and leave, but fate had a way of changing things.The slender glass door belonging to the front of the shop swung open as if pushed by and ominous force causing her to jump.Shaking slightly Cadime made her way through the open door.The inside was worse then she had seen from the outside,tall shelves decked the place from wall to wall filled with strange jars,viles,small animals and so forth.Cadime turned sharp at the sound of someone clearing their throat.Gazing up her eyes met anothers yet the others were unalike, one being a cold saphire blue whilst the second was a glossy glass eye."Uh...h..hi"she managed to choke out,"Vye 'ello der my child, plvease come closer".She gazed at the woman behind the counter who appeared to be in her early twenties,her attire consisted of a long purple and red shawl wrapped around her slender shoulders almost gypsie like, after intaking all of this she very slowly forced her self to move the rest of the way her feet dragging apon the moth eaten carpet."I ave' something you vant'"Cadime looked up in surprise at her *Huh what did she mean,Something I want?And her accent how strange it's unlike any I have ever heard*"Wh..what do you mean?"she asked puzzled.The gypsie lady bent down behind the counter and reapered with an ancient looking baby doll.Cadime gaped at it in mock horror this doll was the something!?!It's head was bald like most dolls and it's face was craked and pealing the pale complection almost to unreal for any baby!Its eyes were sunken back deep into its porcilen skull.Its gown was semi decent a frilly ruffle dress perfect for a dinning ocassion but its vibrant white colour had breched and yellowed,the dolls hands were stiff chewed apon it's feet bare as well showing off small inocent curled toes.This hiddious doll was absouloutly something Grisel would have loved to add to her collection, but cadime knew that antiques like this were worth a fortune even if so,they should have been burned when made.something clicked inside her head"How did you know this was something I was looking for?"she asked suspicious..."I guessed'"was the womans reply.Cadime stood thinking for awhile "So how much is it?"her eyes went back and forth from the doll to the womans's"This doll is very special and its price is no measure...."Cadime rolled her eyes and turned to leave*Something I could never afford!* but the woman continued"But 'vor you I'll make an exception"She turned back "So..How much?"..."Five dollors"*What was this woman crazy?*"Are you serious?, but...but that doll its worth way more even if you were to cut the price in half I know it ain' no Five dollors!"The woman simply blinked"Teke it or leave it"Cadime had expected to pay far more on Grisel's gift, but this was a once in a life time deal,she slapped down a five dollar bill and the woman handed over the doll.."Enjoy"she said smiling so strange cadime could ove' sworn she had just been cheated.Making her way out she glanced back only once to see that the woman had moved out from behind the counter and had grabbed a sign, she ignored this and steped out the doll grasped in her right hand as she held it by its left foot upside down at her side.and turned once more the woman was their about to shut the door the closed sign already on it then she spoke"You can never return it"and then shut the door....((To be continued))
