Bedtime

This happened a couple years ago and I haven't ever told anyone. About a week before this happened my dog Reno had been killed by my step dad because Reno had been getting mean. But the thing is I don't think that Reno was ready to die.
A week after Reno's death I began to feel strange. the worst part is my bedroom was in the basement and no one else slept down there. Anyways I had just got out of the shower and was getting ready for bed. when I turned off the lights and slipped covered up with the blanket I noticed the clock. It read '10:35p.m'
I fell asleep shortly after but then awoke shortly after midnight when I felt my bed move. you know sleeping in the basement is scary because it is pitchblack for awhile until your eyes adjust to the darkness. While I was waiting for my eyes to adjust i felt movement a couple more times. It felt as if paws were stepping on my legs and once on my stomach. Then the movement stopped and my eyes had finally adjusted to the darkness. At first I just looked around the room. But then when I looked on the bed and noticed a big lump on my bed. There was a slow up and down motion coming from it.There was 2 shiny objects that I noticed which had probably been shiny from the moonlight. I had remembered that the blinds were shut when I went to bed so I looked up and saw that not only were the blinds open but so was the window. When I turned back to look at the lump on my bed I saw it's face. It was reno. There was drool dangling from his mouth and the stinche from his breathe was blowing on me. I was so shocked because he was looking directly into my eyes. It seemed as if he was making me stay still cause I couldn't budge. Then I heard him growl. He started to come closer and closer to me and then he opened his mouth showing his yellow, sharp teeth.He dived towards me and that is all I remember. I woke up the next morning and the first thing I looked at was the bed. There was nothing there. Then I looked up at the window and it was closed as well as the blinds. There was however a sharp pain on my arm and I noticed a bite mark around my shoulder area.
This story might sound false but it is 100% true. I didn't see or feel anything after. The only reason I didn't tell anyone is because I didn't want my family to think I am crazy.
