Legion

People debate on the supernatural alot, like God, demons, Satan, that kind of thing. When they experience something scary and crazy with the supernatural, they often keep it to themselves however. That is the case here.

My name is Jack, I'm 16 years old and from Florida. I have been an on and off Christian all my life and one night a year ago I experienced something I will never forget.

I have always thought I hear sounds in my room. Like bangs from upstairs, cracks, sounds outside my window, but I try my best to ignore them.

One time after angrily fighting with my girlfriend on the phone, I decided to go for a run. It was late, close to 11, but I needed to get out of the house. I threw on some running shoes, while becoming slightly spooked in the process from hearing rustling outside my window. I blew it off and proceeded on the run down the dirt country road where I live.

I kept running until I reached a paved road, looked back, and went another half mile. Eventually I reached a 4 way intersection a mile away from my house, and decided I needed to turn back, since it was creepy being out at night.

I stopped, looked around and I swear I saw a little boy on a swing set in the park. The lights were on and I could tell he was looking at me. He looked like he was no older than 5, had blonde hair, and wore blue overalls with a red sweater underneath. That is all I could tell from a distance. I waved to him, and he continued to stare. I dismissed it as creepy and started my run back.

I ran a block or two when I could hear a bike rolling, like one of those little toy bikes. I looked and saw it rolling down the street I was running past, going downhill remarkably fast. It came into view and I saw that same boy, riding it.

Now I was really freaked out. I ran a little past the street when I heard a voice say "Wait!" I looked back and saw the boy on his bike. He was looking at me, and he said "What is your name?"

"Jack" I replied. "Jack Do you want to play?", he said. Personally I was freaked out by the kid, and could not understand how he was in two places far away from each other, so I said I was busy and had to go.

The next thing that happened changed my life. The boy started to smile, and it got bigger and wider with each passing second. He smiled so wide, it was unnatural. It was like seeing someone pull their cheeks apart. He said "We are going to play Jack, now." Then I looked at the kid's teeth, and they suddenly were sharp, like long thin sharp bones.

He got off his bike and started to walk towards me when I darted as fast as I could away. Within seconds, I saw him in front of me. I instantly stopped and wanted to turn, but I slid and pulled a muscle in my leg.

The kid walked over to me and said his name was "Legion". I used to always wear a cross necklace and put it on the day before this, because my girlfriend asked me to, and I just hadn't taken it off. He apparently noticed it, and said I quote, "Huh, you're one of THEM. The boss will like this."

The next thing I remember is walking towards my front door, looking at the clock and it said 11:15 pm. I immediately looked around for the boy and saw no one. I patted down my sides and body to see if I had any injuries, and instead pulled out a note with black writing on it.

It said "Be more careful, we almost lost you." On the back it was signed by my grandmother who had died two years earlier. I knew it was her signature because it was so distinct.

I have been on a few runs since the incident, but never told anyone. I haven't seen the boy since, but I have had nightmares about it. I have put up two crosses in my room and have been baptized following that day. I fear the day I go running again, and see the boy who called himself "Legion".
