I lay shivering on my bed, my forehead, trickling with sweat.

The thump….there it is again! Where is it coming from? I’m scared. Help me.

My room was cold, cold as death. And my body…was stiff, as if ice had combined me together like a stick.

Is my window open? Why is it so cold? Close it now…

I got up from my bed, but immediately slipped back in. It was freezing.

Get up now! If the window is open, then you must close it. Get up!

I bit my lips and I climbed out of my bed. My body was shivering as cold wind swirled around my wet body.

Wet? Why is my body wet? It is definately not sweat. It is too cold. And why do I smell so…foul?

I looked at my window. It was open. I scurried toward it and closed it tight. Everything was silent. Until…now.

The thump there it is again… it sounds as though someone is dragging himself on the wooden floor and pounding slightly on it at the same time. I’m scared…Help me.

Mommy and Daddy, they will calm me down.

I walked toward the door and opened it…slowly and cautiously.
The hallway was dark and silent.

Mommy…I’m so scared….Help me…

I walked on the smooth floor…and stepped on something sticky.

What is that?

But I didn’t stay too long to see what it was. I didn’t care. I just wanted to go in the covers with my parents and feel their hands smoothing my hair.
I opened their bedroom door…

I flickered on the light and…

Daddy! What happened to you! Why are you so bloody?

He reached for me, his hand bent all out of shape and broken. But he still tried to grab for me. I silently screamed to myself, tears blurring my eyes.

Daddy!

His poor face was ripped into shreds and bloody skins hung from his cheeks. His usual sparkling eyes were now dull and white. I watched in horror as they rolled back in his head. His left foot was nothing but a clean, cut stump, and so was his right arm. I backed away from his reaching hand…and looked behind his shoulders.

Mommy! Oh my God, oh my God! Daddy, what happened? Oh my God…911…Hurry, hurry, hurry…

A dim light from the lamp showed what was left of my mommy. A groan escaped from my throat. Her body was hacked into several pieces, her head, decapitated from her body. I screamed.

Nooooo, no, no, no!! Run, run, run, run…now!

The walls were splattered in blood. I couldn’t look any more…I ran from the room. I could hear Daddy’s soft screaming as I ran downstairs, and I knew, that his life ended in the most painful way than he had ever hoped. I remembered when he would always say that he would rather die while sleeping. But that didn’t happen, did it? Sadness tore at my heart.

The door…reach for the door. Oh god, is the murderer still in this house? Run; run before you will die too.

Is that the police? HELP ME! Please!!!

I ran and opened the door. A blinding light, red and blue flashed in my face. I held up my arms to block it.

“Put your hands up!” a loud voice called out.

Is he talking to me?

“You are under arrest for murdering your parents. Keep your hands up! Do not lower them from your face!”

I couldn’t help it though

I looked at the palms of my hands…

And screamed. I screamed and screamed, until I couldn’t hear the police anymore.

My hands…they’re covered in blood. My night gown…it’s also splattered with blood too…

I didn’t know where it had come from.

From me? But…I didn’t get hurt at all…so where…?

Then the truth hit me.

It was blood…from my own mother and father…..



That I had killed.
