The Black Ghost

On a dark, scary evening a family moved into a old broken down house in the middle of Salem, Mass. Marney, her father and her mother settled in together. They had never heard any rumors about this house until they moved in.

People would pass and stare as they unpacked their stuff. The legend has it that a little girl got slaughtered to death in the basement by a crazy psycho that lived next door and since then she haunts whoever came through those doors that she disliked.

Well the first night sleeping there, the youngest child, Marney, heard some noises downstairs. Instead of waking her parents up, she went down there all by herself. She would say "hello, hello, hello" over and over again. Then she heard a voice calling her name so she followed the voice down the creaky basement steps. It became quiet for a moment then she heard crying."Who's there" She said but no one answered back. There was a little figure standing in the corner crying. She wondered what it was so she went closer and closer to see if she could make out the figure. The light in the basement was burnt out. She didn't know what to do, so she just kept going. In the quiet you could hear her heart beating faster and faster. The tension was building. When she approached the figure she saw a little girl, naked and scared out of her mind.

Marney screamed as loud as she could, however no one heard her. In the blink of an eye Marney was dead. The next morning her parents wondered where she could of went off to. They checked everywhere. Then they went downstairs into the basement and saw a splatter of blood on the walls. The father looked up and on the ceiling was Marney. She was hammered up there, hanging by huge nails. The mother ran upstairs to call 911 but the phone was dead. All the doors in the house shut fast and locked themselves. The lights flickered like lightning. The Black Ghost as they called her, then killed the mother and father. The next day investigators were reluctant to go into the house because they knew the legend.
