The thing Posted by eluv173 Date Posted: 08/11/2005
Ok, eveyone always say how true their stories are, but believe me when I say, that THIS one is forreal. I lived in a small suburb of Chicago with my parents. We bought the house in '73. As a kid growing up, I didn't realize anything strange until I turned 15. On the night of my birthday (New Year's Day), my parents took me out to dinner and a movie, I was so happy and tired when we got home. But the unexpected happened, all of the lights were on when we arrived. The crazy thing is, is that, I distinctively remember that no lights were on when we left. (It was daytime) So my mom said maybe it was a circut breaker or something, turned off the lights and went to bed. She did have a freaked out expression on her face. Later that night I wanted something to drink, so I got up. For some reason I felt really cold and scared. But I went anyway. As I approached the kitchen, I heard a noise, I was so scared to turn around but I had to, I turned around and saw a shadowy figure. It starred at me for a while then disappeared. I freaked out and ran into my parents bedroom. They were still asleep. Then as the next morning approached, I woke up again. Too scared to go to the bathroom, I just laid there, but I felt like something was starring at me again, I looked down at the foot of the bed, and there it was again. I closed my eyes (like that was going to help) and opened them again, it was still there. I asked "What do you want, go AWAY" and it disappeared.
As years went by, that thing never came back, but I found out after sometime, that a teenage girl who's birthday was the same as mine, died, in that house, in 1945. She was friendly, and just wanted to see what her life would've been like if she were still alive. Visitor Rating:
