Under The Bed

When I was 4 years old I used to live in Mexico. The little ranch we lived in barely had any street lights around and it was extremely dark at night.

I went to visit my grandma one day.
She lived in a small house where up to 10 people slept in two rooms. Each room had only one bed and the rooms were divided by boys in one room and girls in the other.

We were all family and very comfortable around each other. My aunts said I could sleep in the bed which back then was a luxury. So we went to sleep.

The next thing I remember is waking up in blackness and hearing my name called. "Nelly,Nelly where are you?". I panicked and started to scream as well.

Well long story short they found me under the bed. This was not an ordinary bed. It was possible to fit a person under there but the bed was heavy and 4 guys had to pick the bed up and take me out.

The next morning my grandma found on my body purple bruises which a lady told us were from witches. She explained to us that when a witch tries to take your soul they suck it out of you, causing unexplained bruising. My aunts probably woke up before the ritual was over.

A month later we moved to the U.S and I forgot all about it. It wasn't till I found this site that I remembered.
